Prototype: Digital Canvassing Software

Introduction

This is a prototype tool to help volunteers go door-knocking by organizing their voter base data into a Google Spreadsheet and displaying that in an intuitive visual fashion.

This will help get rid of messy papers that canvassers need to carry around.

Some Features

• The app displays every voter as an icon on the map according to their support level

• Canvassers are able to select an icon and be redirected to google maps for directions

• Canvassers are able to easily document a new voter’s info from the app GUI instead of having to manipulate spreadsheets

• Data validity and ease of use is ensured using a system which predicts and suggests the correct data based on voters lists.

• Canvassers can add additional comments for each voter they encounter and after each visitation

• Managers can control which regions that volunteers are able to access for security and organization

• The app is adaptable for phones, tablets, web browsers, or PC standalone applications.

• The voter base is divided into polling zones which can be assigned to specific users of the app for security and convenience.
